Chapter 10: Blue Moon
Her blonde hair glows like fire as shadows dance for her attention as she smiles and laughs between sips off a bottomless martini glass. She reaches for her cellphone illuminating her face; those icy blue eyes are light houses on a moonless night, but before they swallow me whole I turn and walk away. Through the cacophony I here her shoes click against the tiles, the little hairs on the back of my neck dances as the rhythm comes near. I turn a door handle and enter a dark room as she slides through and conceals the world behind her.
“You came,” her lips mutter.
I feel her breath in the darkness. I reach to find her hip and whisper, “Not yet.”
She reaches for my face and I let her hold what she finds, as I stand intoxicated by the smell of lavender and wild flowers. She inhales my breath and little by little I feel ounces of soul slowly slipping away before her breath brings back life as her soft wet lips plant my feet to the ground. Like a beautiful dance that should not end, I become a hungry fool indulging on forbidden fruit. Soft skin against my hands and sweet in my mouth, her fingers comb my hair like paint brushes. Suddenly she stands me tall and climbs me like a tree, she reaches for a grip and grabs hold with all of her soul.
Her breaths sing a rhythm as she swings between the heavens and the earth below. My hands like conductors guide the music, but it is she that leads all the higher notes. Sweat-beads drop on the floor below as my legs hold like glaciers melting against the heat. Moments pass and I feel her soft fingers grip on my hair as tremors grow below, building like waves on the sea. And soon the water hits the land; her breathing glows - slowly softening to ember as her feet land on ground.
I feel her lips reaching, but I do not move. She finds me and presses her lips against mine as she whispers, “It was nice to run to into you.” She hides her legs in skirt and disappears through the door.
My pants meet my waist and through the hallway I walk. And as I turn the corner, my eyes spot her long blonde hair glowing like fire as shadows dance around her. She turns and those icy blue eyes find me like light houses on a moonless night, but before they can capture my soul, I turn and walk out the door.
